Respect old generation why ?
There are socially accepted norms that they are more experienced than us. We should hear them and follow their teachings.
Some people can say because in their old age they become vulnerable, physically exhausted. So its young people duty to support them.
One can point out a number of contradictions especially in 21st century.
- Their experiences are of no use for us. They belong to ancient age I can’t go with them.
- They are weak I know. They have problem but even I have my own troubles, I have to focus on my career. At least I haven’t come so long to take care of them only. In this hour when even I don’t have time for my family, for myself then how and why should I look after them? They should manage it in their young age. In any case I am not gain to do the same mistake.
- I am giving them what they want. But don’t expect me to do according to them. This is my life. They are part of it. But what should I do what shouldn’t that’s totally my decision.
- List could be uncountable every person has his/her views.
It may sound very rough to some ears, Destructive to some traditional souls. But it is fact .The world is no more as it was. Things are changing .Within last one decade we have jumped over a century. Everything is mess here now, and so the social system too. In this situation one shouldn’t expect that anyone is going to risk his/her perception for the sake of society/manner/culture. People now want logic to satisfy their sense. And there is no wrong with it. Why to hold the thread which you are not going to use in your future.
But still I believe we should respect every single senior citizen who is yet living. And not only respect but make sure to make them feel that they are important for us. It may be a little contradicted to my previous statement but that’s the way things are.
I am not saying only because of a mercy of emotional inclement towards old-age people but because of importance of human. Let me clear it…
Actually when you are seeing a bullet train moving by 250 Km/h. You think whataa speed!! You admire this invention of mankind. Exactly at the same moment the person who is inside that train he is static. Not feeling anything that how fast it’s moving for him. It’s just a source to take him to his destination in less time. So what speed did here? It became a lighting source to reduce the time only. The most important ting here wasn’t the speed (although it was the most attractive thing) it was the time and the destination.
Exactly the case is in our social life. We are developing our neighborhood swiftly to ease our life not to increase the life. But dear what happened most of the time we just forget to handle is with care. And the result comes in the form of frustration/depression/superiority –inferiority complexion. Well don’t think I am going off from my topic it may sound a little unfamiliar but I have a link.
And the link is thus we human found ourselves in misery, very single day become a fight for survival. We are planning/thinking/running/moving in the direction which leads no where but to make sure to achieve another day in this earth. Yes our every single action (visible or invisibly) is just to make sure to get another 24 hours for ourselves, in a way as we want. You can say what so difficulty in it is. It’s as easy as breathing. But no it is not.
The day we born we start learning, whole life is a journey of struggles, in childhood it was for little things in young age for academic and emotional things after that it was for family and responsibility and finally when you became old its again for what.. For peace. And ask yourself try to find out the exact numbers how many of us have lived every struggle successfully. Whatever was the time the situation things were always same only the sources were and are different.
There are people young energetic but broken into pieces not able to make another day, there are people unable to find a single reason to live more of every age. There are people who gave up struggles and left this place even before god’s call. And amazingly today when this world is full of sources this number is not descending but ascending.
It’s all happening around why? Is this young generation who has won the space, is so weak? Who has knowledge of equal to computer is so inexperienced that it can’t find out solution for his survival? Definitely not we are stronger at last its human who never gives up. They who did I am sorry but they were not eligible to get a human birth.
Life is not beautiful showroom where everything is managed so well. Every day is not to picnic near rainbow river. Every night is not for candle light dinner. And people who are yet living they have understand this fact very deeply.
Today when they have touched their old age don’t think that they are weak .Don’t ever respect them due to their physical weakness, their bygone experiences. But man respects them because they have made it. They have found a way to survive in this besieged world. Respect them because they didn’t give up against toughest situation. Doesn’t matter that is that belong to you or not, rich or poor, the thing which makes them special is their will to live and live more. And mind it friend it takes a strong determination to have this will.
No doubt even in their hardships they too have thought a number of times that how to survive? What to do now? It’s beyond my capacity. But in the end it was their will which made every thing straight. And look they are around you spreading the message that life is a gift. You have to try hard to know how to unpack it.
Who knows even I would be able to make this’ struggle for survival’ successfully or not. Who knows would I be able to reach at their age. Isn’t it requires a lion’s heart to think for this, to put oneself in their shoes. It is.
So respect them because they are alive. Respect them because may b they have lost everything in their life. They have won a number of days to live hear. Respect them because they are not looser, they are WINNER – true winner.
