This is a gift from IRAN, yes from a country where cinema isn’t considered a good thing. Despite the fact here cinema is blooming specially after NEW IRANIAN WAVE of 70s. Iran has got some very renowned directors Mohasin Makhamalbuf, Majid Majidi and etc. they are trying to put realty of the country in front of the other world.
This movie is a product of Majidi. Which deals with a small family of parents and a pair of ‘brother-sister’? They belong to lower class family; hardly have enough to live happily. And destiny played a game with them when brother looses shoes of his sister. It’s a heart touching cinema and. A few sequences will force you to inhale a long breath. Somehow they mange to live with one pair of sneakers. One day brother gets a chance to win a new pair of shoes through a race competition. He struggles hard to be at third place but finished with first. And the victorious moment directs him in sorrow and regret for her younger sister. Who is waiting for her new sneakers.
One more thing, keeping direction of Majidi aside. Both the Childs are too good. And really their performance is more than expectations. A must watch cinema . I will recommend it for everyone.
