Talk To Her

It’s a conversation about emotions, exchange of feelings between two of the same kind. And may be very first time it’s a ‘Talk about Him’ not her. Men are considered stone hearted in our society. And we believed that soul right of crying is reserved for women. That’s why rarely you will see men sharing their deep feelings, their weakness,on the screen. Pedro Almodovar is known as an artist who knows how to paint every corner of women. But in this show he has tried to place the other gender below spotlight. I should say not a failure.

 

This is a movie about two strangers who come closer when destiny leaves their loves in coma. They develop an emotional attachment and shares their unexpressed feeling.Benigno (in Spanish it means harmless) is a caregiver. Who takes care of his love through out 4 years? In spite of his harmless care he became prime suspect of rape and gets imprisonment. While MARCO, other lead character, helps him during his misfortune. Benigno wants to hug him, thanks him for his hold up, for being there, for sharing his emotions.

 

Although there are some questions which remain unreturned but when end titles starts rolling you will feel like you are a little glad a little gloomy. One more thing it has a beautiful sound track ‘kukurukukoo’ by Caetano Veroso.Dont forget to reverse your disc to listen it at least twice.

 

It’s a 2002 release and an Oscar goes to its credit for “ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY” by Pedro Almodovar. As well as it was listed in top 10 movies of 2002.
